What you pay for
- Conversations — each message has a cost based on the AI model you choose. You pick the model; cheaper ones cost less, more capable ones cost more.
- Permanent record— Asa's record of you grows with every conversation. You pay what it costs us to keep it — no markup on storage.
How funds work
- $10 credit on your first sign-in. Add $5, $10, $25, or any custom amount when you want more.
- Funds never expire. Use them at your own pace — today, next month, whenever.
- Your balance and per-message cost are always visible.
- Optional auto-reload — save a card and set a threshold. Asa tops up automatically so you never have to think about it.
What happens when your balance runs out
Your current message always finishes — Asa never cuts you off mid-sentence. After that, chat pauses until you add funds. Your conversation history and data are always preserved — nothing is lost. Add any amount and pick up exactly where you left off.

About the models
Asa has access to the latest AI models, including Claude Opus 4.8 — Anthropic's premium reasoning model. Pick a specific model anytime in Settings under Custom, or leave it on Auto and let Asa choose for you.
Auto (Cheap) is the default — it routes each turn between Claude Haiku 4.5 and Sonnet 5 based on how complex the conversation actually is, so you get the lightest model most of the time and a more capable one only when it's warranted. Auto (Good) does the same one class up, between Sonnet 5 and Opus 4.8. Custom is available anytime you want to pick and lock a specific model.
The model is not what makes Asa different. These are the same models available in other AI apps. What makes Asa different is the structured record around the model — your history is preserved exactly as you said it, Asa learns from real conversations, and nothing gets lost or summarized away. You could swap models every day and Asa would still know who you are.
